Budgam/ Thousands of Shia Muslims Friday held a rally and took to streets and protested against the hegemony of America and Israel. The protesters demanded the immediate release of Ayatullah Sheikh Zakzaki who is languishing in Jail in Nigeria.The massive protest March was organised by senior separatist leader and President Anjuman Shari Shian Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi.The protesters chanted anti-US and anti-Israel slogans and pitched for the release of Sheikh Zaki. They accused America and Israel of threatening Iran for their vested interests.While addressing the protesters, Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi expressed solidarity with the oppressed nations around the world and showed his support for Iran.In Budgam thousands of people held a rally after Friday prayers and marched to main Chowk from Imam Bada Budgam. Aga Syed Hassam Musavi presided and addressed the gathering in the district.“We and Muslims around the world want the release of Nigerian Islamic Scholar Sheikh Zakzaki,” he said.The protesters were carrying placards and banners denouncing the arrest of Zakzaki and hegemony of America and Israel.He accused world community of the callous attitude towards the Muslims. He pitched for resolving the issues being faced by the Muslims across the world.He also prayed for the unity, harmony, progress and prosperity for the entire Muslim World. Prayers were also offered for the liberation of occupied lands like Palestine from occupying forces.He accused United Nations Organisation (UNO) of being silent over the issues. They asked world community to resolve the issues and pitched for the end to the injustice and discrimination faced by Muslims in west. They later dispersed peacefully.
